TSB is (slowly) coming back

HELLO MY LOVELIES

After a lovely 7 month vacation, I think I can now create the time to come back into the blogging community.

I've enjoyed the break, but I've missed huge chunks from all of my favourite blogs.

But there are problems.

I've lost my usual high levels of bile, hatred, twisted and bitter humour and of course my low levels of humility.

I've been using up all of my negative energies dealing with the usual detritus of society we teachers deal with every day.

I refer of course to the so-called students at Nuova Lazio High School.

Our Prefects (SORRY, PC rules, Our Student Leaders)

It's strangely refreshing to reduce an obnoxious spotty-faced and arrogant teenage boy into a snivelling shambolic version of his previous self.  I've not yet made one of the scrotes actually pee his pants, but early days yet.  It's only been 7 months.

Success

I'd actually be feeling a bit chipper, but the bunch of idiots and assorted deviants we have in our Ministry of Education have managed to cock-up the main motivator of their corps of dedicated teachers.  They've managed to completely f*ck up our pay system, so even though I've been undertaking the duties of the previous incumbent, plus quite a bit more, I've not been getting the correct pay, loosing about $12000 to date.

Ringo; gone, but not forgotten or ever, ever forgiven

It will get better.

I've planned out a sequence of posts, which will follow in the forthcoming months. ( I cannot guarantee a daily post, but I will try to get one out at least per week.  Any comments are guaranteed a response.)

  1. The relief teacher who was a notorious nutjob, and banned from the UK
  2. The PE teacher who had a thing about boys
  3. Novopay; The Apocalypse
  4. The Scrote register
  5. I'm lonely; How Power Divides.
  6. Lust in the Wood
  7. The Aunties Strike/Parking Mayhem
That's about it at the moment, as I'm looking forward to peeking into all of my favourite blogs, but just to keep all of my original readers happy, I really need to add at least one slightly suggestive image and one weird one.

WARNING

You can decide on which is which, depending on your own proclivities.

  2. Welcome back TSB! Just reinstated the link from RBB.

  3. Nice to see you've broken out of whatever place they had you incarcerated. Even better to see youve retained your sick and twisted sense of humour. Cheers

    1. Thanks Tempo-that-was. It's only my severely twisted sense of humour that's allowed me to survive. More anon. I'm looking forward to catching up with all that's been going on.

  4. Hurrah hurrah---it's summer here in the UK (and on blogland) and I felt like I was drowning in a sea of pictures of cakes, vintage crokery photographed on beaches and recipes no-one will ever, ever try.

Oh for a bit of salty Antipodean prose, appropriately (?) illustrated as ever.

This deserves a drink. First though, I'll take you out of the "dormant" pigeon hole on my blog. That will get you 1.7 readers a year more.

    1. Thanks looby, it was your email to me that re-awakened the blogging juices. Unfortunately my system filed it as junk mail, and I only discovered it last week. I'm looking forward to read about your fragrant conquests on or about the houseboat.

    2. In the junk! The nerve of these emails systems. Good to know you've found your "steady flow" days again.

  5. Well, well, well, I thought it was the end of TSB. I even deleted you from my blogroll. I must say I was delighted to open up my comments box and there you were! Welcome back to the world of attention seekers dear friend. Hope all is well. I guess I'll have to add you again if you're a good blogger :-)

    1. I'm so glad to be back on your bogroll, it is an honour beyond words. You always write such charming comments that they temporarily defuse the bile constantly bubbling in my hindbrain.
      Nice to be back.

  6. BTW, have you been in prison all this time. Come on, what did you do?

  7. The PE teacher... male or female?

Also - re no 1 - glad we are still able to beat through the EU protected nonsense and still get some of our better exports through to our old treasured colonies...

    Good to see you back

    1. Hiya Furtheron, definitely female, with a proclivity of wearing skin-tight leather jeans.

To make it even worse, number 1 was Scottish.

    2. Female PE teacher in leather jeans. Now why didn't that happen in my day. We had a loony Welshman who was so obsessed with rugby he really needed hospitalization.

    3. Furtheron, you forget that I live in NZ, where footie (Rugby) is a national obsession/religion. The Welshman of whom you speak would fit right in.

  10. Lust in the wood is quite natural for a wood. Furry creatures have got to have their fun. Is the woman in the top picture exhaling, inhaling or imbibing?

    1. Lust is always good, in or out of woods. As far as the woman in the top picture is concerned, yes.

    1. Oh yes,
you will not believe the amount of effort which has gone into my attempts to regain my losses. All to no avail so far.

    1. Don't worry Trish, your post on that travel book was very elegant, and anyway as I'm now a diabetic I'm not supposed to eat cake, ut thanks for the thought.

  16. Welcome back TSB! Have missed you. Was thinking about you the other day and wondering how your have been getting on, especially in your new role this year.
How is that dear wee grad daughter of yours? Growing like topsy I bet. So looking forward to your future posts, much like the return of a new season of my favourite tv show.

    1. Hi again VG,
the wee granddaughter is just lovely, I'll put up a pic of her later. I'm getting on top of the job, again much, much more later.
Not missing Ringo at all. :=)

    2. I bet you don't miss Ringo, but I am sure that he left plenty of crap for you to deal with. Amy is working at my school now teaching sciences. Good to have an old (young) friend return. She is really enjoying it so far. We often reminisce about NLHS. Building a house in Mangaroa soon, has bought some land over there. Enjoy what is left of your last few days of holidays. I hope you have managed to get away for a break this time or maybe last hols.

    3. Believe it or not, I do miss Ringo a bit. He was a great focus for all of the discontent in NLHS, now it's beginning to spread around a bit. We miss Amy as well. I've been in school for the last two days this week, and three days last week, so not so much relaxation. Still doing relief?

Just wait for the post on that!!!

    4. Yes still being a professional reliever and enjoying it although I have not had so much work come my way this year due to competition from some recently retired ex staff who like to get their pension and steal quite a bit of my former relief classes off me :( just wish they would go away and die. Really you'd think after 40 years of teaching in a high school they would be pleased to see the end of it. Somehow I think they have lifestyle needs that need meeting like being able to afford overseas holidays annually.

  17. Have you really lost your bile and hatred or is it simply still on vacation? Give it time, I say. Welcome home, sir.

    1. Thank you Sir, the bile reservoir is well overfilled at the moment. I am looking forward to the next major vent/rant.

  18. Good to have you back, TSB. With only that guy who's infatuated with the bass posting about NLHS, I've been feeling withdrawal symptoms. The list of promised topics looks good.

My lemon tree was destroyed in a recent storm. I have heaps of lemons off its remains. I'll be in to NLHS some time next week to dump some; take a few to keep you sour.

    1. Nice to hear from you ex-Clive. You'll soon be joined by ex-Ashley who is also heading for the joyous lands of freedom.

Don't believe everything you read on the internet. I know you're very trusting, but believe it or not, some people tell porkies.

Thanks for the offer, but I've just agreed to take over the Year 9s, so I expect my bitterness levels to substantially increase.

    2. So Ashley has finally retired? Good on him. Bet you have him at the top of your Relief Pool list though eh TSB? No fool like an old fool. I see the lovely ex-Vera has joined you in the Grandparents club. She has been a granny in waiting for so long. Is Ross still hanging in there at NLHS? I see Angela is at Naenae now. ME Tata, Aimee and Stu have the NLHS survivors club at my school, although we hardly see Stu as he likes to hide out in his flash new Gym complex.

  19. Nice to see you back!
I've had a break from blogging myself.Partly because I’ve been busy applying for jobs (one of which I would have actually liked to have got). Also a certain amount of drinking and self-indulgent ennui is also to blame.
In regards to your pay situation, I have been in charge of the payroll for a couple of companies and must confess I made a mistake (although not entirely my fault) at one of them that had a run-on effect for a few months.
But in my case I had been paying people a few quid too much, by not having the correct tax codes.

    I didn’t care.

    1. Hi Steve,
nice of you to drop in. Drinking and navel-gazing is a perfectly acceptable way of passing time (and wind).
Unfortunately, our pay problems are much, much larger, and include about 20% of teachers in NZ. More later.

    2. OH don't get me started about Novopain. I look forward tot your forthcoming rant on that!
