I've had enough.
I'm just fed up with cold, rain and lack of sun.
So I'm off to the UK for 2 months, with a side trip to Dieppe (France) for a couple of days.
I will probably be back at the end of August.
Have fun, and all you Kiwis, try not to freeze.
I have also promised myself a Bridie,
A Scotch Pie.
A Glasgow Morning Roll, with thick butter and Beef Ham.
A Rowie.
A real Steak and Kidney Pudding.
And best of all, kite flying with my delightful wee Granddaughter.
I'll try and keep up the posts, depending on the vagaries of the Internet and Herr Google.

ReplyDeleteSo, after all that fare I guess a heart attack will be scheduled sometime in August (that's if the shock of the travel fare doesn't trigger one earlier).
ReplyDeleteBon voyage and keep those delectable images coming (not the food ones).
Thanks, I will, as long as SWMBO doesn't see them.
ReplyDeleteCardiac Infarction? I fart in its general direction.
I have travel insurance.
Did Angry Jesus's comment on your last post get deleted? I can't seem to find it.
ReplyDeleteYes.
DeleteHe went too far.
There has to be retibution. I'm sure you understand that.
DeleteI will prepare myself for a smiting from AJ . . . OOOOO, I'm so frightened. The god-bothering bastard.
DeleteI could weep, seeing that collection of food porn...if I want these I have to make them myself...
ReplyDeleteAnd where are the Arbroath Smokies...and the Lorne sausage...?
The smokies, maybe. It's the wee bones that I don't like.
DeleteLorne sausage . . . food of the gods in a Glasgow morning roll, with thick butter and brown sauce.
Weeps....
DeleteNo fried slice of cloutie dumpling with the breakfast....?
Sorry TFITW, that's a step too far. Fried haggis, black pudding and especially fried tattie scone, absolutely. Cloutie dumpling only with custard, and it just spoils the whole ambience.
DeleteSo where's the Cullen Skink?
ReplyDeleteFor breakfast?
DeleteHave you no soul?
Fish soup is not really my thing, unless of course it's French.
Safe travels TSB. Does the sun actually shine in Scotland during the northern summer?
ReplyDeleteHigh VG,
Deletenormally no, but there seems to be a heat wave here at the moment.
I don't know what happened to my last comment which disappeared halfway through typing it. I was only saying at least you will get some sun here, if you come quickly, can't guarantee it will stay whateevr the long range forecast says.
ReplyDeleteI think there is something strange going on with Blogger. I've got to use my daughter's laptop to write replies, otherwise it refuses t let me do anything. You are correct, and there is plenty of sunshine togo around. I just hope it all lasts.
DeleteCompletely jealous .... a whole 2 months of lounging. Some day (hopefully soon) I will be retired
ReplyDeleteNo,no. . . . you've got it all wrong. It's the rest of my life that I will be lounging.
DeleteThis is just lounging with some travel thrown in.
By the way, your jealousy is appreciated.
Let me get this straight...you're going to the UK for the weather? Is that correct? Someone is in for a rude awakening. I'm not gauche enough to name names. Will you post from distant lands?
ReplyDeleteHa, ha.
DeleteI know the winter in NZ is rather anaemic compared to the Arctic wnderland that is NY, NY, but summer in Scotland isn't too bad. It's actually rather warm no, with temperatures around 27C.
I will try and ost, though replying to comments does seem more problematic.
