View from Porch Swing |
The temperature outside is 28ºC.
I'm lying on the porch swing with a large Gin and Tonic with a slice of our own lemon in a very tall glass, clinking with the sounds of ice cubes melting in the glorious sun.
My Beloved has gone to church, and I'm on my own.
We've got 7 days before we leave on a trip to Napier.
Then I've got another 5 days before I have to go back to work.
Life sometimes sucks.
But not at the moment.
This makes me happy |
Cheers.
This also makes me happy, as long as my Beloved doesn't see it. |
The libation looks enviable.
ReplyDeletelaoch: Concise as ever.
ReplyDeleteWhy were you clinking? I'd get them checked out if I were you.
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit partial to a G&T but it's only 10am and the suns not yet over the yard arm - what the hell is a yard arm?
ReplyDeleteTC: They were clinking because my hand was shaking...from fear that my Beloved will start to look at BLOGS.
ReplyDeleteYONKS: A yard arm?
Why, it's an upper human limb 0.9144 metres long.
Enjoy the rest of your vacation, and happy new year!
ReplyDeleteit's dull and dank here....feel my pain!!
ReplyDeleteHow is your wife coming on with her computer?
ReplyDeletePatience_Crabstick: Thank you, and a very happy New Year to you too. I've ordered the Ackroyd book from my local library, thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteYaH: I feel it, I really do. Thats why I'm drinking the ice cold Gin and Tonic. It duuls the pain. See what I do for you? Damn, I'll have to go in and put more sun block on.
Richard[of RBB]:Please, just don't talk about it. Every day I live in fear, expecting her to say"Darling, who is TSB?"
ReplyDeleteIt's so bad I'm actually going into school on Thursday, and maybe Friday as well.
Your secrets are safe with us TSB (taps side of nose meaningfully). The blog/real life clash can end up in as a bit of a car crash. Enjoy your hols - it's grey, cold and about to rain here.
ReplyDeletelooby: Thanks for the support. Sorry about the weather in Brit Land, it peaked at a sunny 28ºC here yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI know about the blog/reality clash from previous experience. It definitely feels odd when a colleague makes an allusion to something I've posted.
Actually I feel certain Ringo reads my blog, 'cause he always looks pissed off when I've had another dig at something he's done.
Ah TSB our Ringo would never read your blog. He's a tru pychopath, and they are to concerned with themselves to be reading your dull
ReplyDeleteblog. (not that it is BTW - but to him it would be as he'snot mentionedd often enough).
My elder daughter bought a woman's weekly the other day. Mainly for pictures of Dan Carters wedding. Poor thing she's not really over him. ANyway I found an interesting article that analysed what a true psycopth is. Ringo exihibits all the key characteristics. This was a scary reveleation, but now I know what he really is. Be warned.
