Cynical bastard though I may be, I do have a slight vestige of a romantic recessive gene buried deep down inside somewhere.
I came across this beautiful music clip on YouTube.
It only lasts 5:47, but for the sake of all the tattered souls out there, just listen. (Sipping a little wine adds to the balm)

Not one I could listen to a lot - seemed to me to have the same qualities as lots of that organ playing before church services, which had me zoning out quite quickly - then again - I didn't manage to have that wee glass of red to hand so maybe that would have helped.
ReplyDeleteBut it would be a sad world if we were all the same.
These are three of my favourite musicians and I listen to them frequently.
ReplyDeleteCheck this out...

It's an old clip.
I'm with A.
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of being in a church or a chapel before a funeral service starts. The hushed and artificial reverence that such occasions demand.
But hey! Whatever rocks your boat. Better than the Liberace and Barry Manilow stuff you probably usually listen to I guess.
Hey, don't knock Liberace!
ReplyDeleteAlistair: I like it, but I don'tfeel thretened or even annoyed if others don't.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your sentiment that we all have our own preferences.
PS The red did help, as did the wee sensation a little later
Richard: I listened, I didn't really get it. Sorry, but as Alistair said, we all have our preferences. (I thought you might like thisone as it used a Double Bass)
TC: Actually I have a very eclectic taste. A mix of Dvorak, Smetana, Messines, Adele and even the occasional Hip-Hop if done tastefully. Have you ever seen the clip from the wedding? See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-94JhLEiN0 this one always restores my optimism.
Richard: Sorry, but IMHO you can always mock Liberace.
It's actually a cast iron clause in every bloke's existance contract. WE MUST MOCK LIBERACE
You guys should check out Akish The Philistine's blog here...

oh, and it's time to get rid of Google's fucked uo word verification
Richard: What has Akish got to do with Liberace?
ReplyDeleteAre you saying that Akish is Liberace?
