Congee, comfort and a wrecked fence.

My Beloved is a superb cook. Even though at the moment she has a major health issue (semi-continuous nausea) she always has a hot and delicious meal waiting for me when I arrive home.

Ringo Might Be Going

A posh school mum waiting for her kids (Notice the crossed legs - a sign of class)

I have heard, on the teacher grapevine, that Ringo was being interviewed for a Deputy Principal's position at a rather posh Wellington school.

Getting the Needle

No gentle reader, this is not a rant/vent or even a diatribe against the uncivilized teaching practices here in the Sunny, South Pacific Paradise called New Zealand. (Isn't a 12 hour day, with at least 3 committee meetings a week just a little bit like TOO MUCH F*CKING WORK ?)

Samsung top loader. Note the adjoining sink, de rigeur in NZ and Aussie for some completely unknown reason

We have a washing machine.  It's a Samsung top loader we've had for about 7 years.

It's Camp Week

This week, Nuova Lazio High School is carrying on with a tradition common to many NZ and Aussie school; namely, sending our youngest kids to a camp in the bush.

Sudden Movement

Cynical bastard though I may be, I do have a slight vestige of a romantic recessive gene buried deep down inside somewhere.

I came across this beautiful music clip on YouTube.

It only lasts 5:47, but for the sake of all the tattered souls out there, just listen. (Sipping a little wine adds to the balm)
