Belief

I made a comment on looby's blog yesterday, where I expressed surprise that he went to a reading of Slovenian Poetry.  I did use some language which was mildly (for me) derogatory about how anyone could actually enjoy such an event.

Why Can't They Make Up Their (little) Minds

My Beloved planned to fly back to the UK in August and had graciously aquiesced to allow me to accompany her a wee bit later in September (our Spring Break Holiday), then we would fly back together.

Looking Forward to Retirement

Unfortunately, today, I go back to school.  The last two weeks have been mostly pleasant, consisting in the main of long periods of sleep with extra dozing, eating, drinking, reading and lying in the sun.

All is now well

Thank goodness for efficient suppliers.  I only ordered it last night and they (I ordered an extra USB hub at the same time) were both delivered today.  Free delivery as well.  You can't ask for much better than that.  AND it's got a 5 year replacement warranty.

On the Fiddle

My Beloved dragged me to a "musical experience" in Upper Hutt last week. It was a recital from the "Only Fiddle Music School in the Southern Hemisphere"

A Prang in Petone

Probably safest place for a woman.  Definitely NOT behind the steering wheel

What is it with women and cars?

300000 and a Lack of Irony

I used this because I like the concept
also
Bye bye Second (again)

My blog recently hit 300,000 views, and proud though I was of this achievement (mainly due I suspect to the numerous images of a rather pulchritudinous nature) I posted comments on as many other blogs as possible saying : "I've hit 300000 views you know."

The Mah Jong Massacre

I mentioned previously that I would be accompanying Mrs. TSB to her weekly Mah Jong outing, but I've refrained from posting about for a variety of reasons. (Too damned lazy is number one)

I'm so lucky

OK, I may whinge and moan a bit about the demands my Beloved may make.

But.

I came across this on YouTube, and I am so happy that my Beloved is MY living and breathing Beloved, and not something else.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

My Beloved and the Gay Zombie Teddy Bear

My Beloved is a dab hand with a needle. Whether it's being used for intricate needlepoint on a tapestry or a sampler, or being used to prick my rather fragile ego.  She also knits.

Swimming and Shopping.

The Dangers of Public pools

Regular readers of this little post (soon to reach the exalted height of 300,000 views) will know that I really don't like swimming in public pools.
It's not just the chlorine and the fungal infections and the cold dirty tile floors, it's the solitude.

Last Day at the Chalkface

Thanks for the Holiday.  Where's my chocolate eggs?
Easter holidays start tomorrow.  About the only good thing that came out of christianity, apart from communion wine and Christmas.

The day started badly, and went rapidly downhill from there

Turning to custard is a Kiwi phrase which really means it's FUBAR

I must have upset a mythical being or two in the last few days, because everything today turned to shit custard.
