Very Quick Tuesday
Back to the grind after yesterday's release. No relief cover required yesterday due to the day-long seminar on Behavioural Issues. Quite an interesting speaker, Dr. Bill Rogers, who covered old and new topics with his entertaining style and accurate analysis.
I didn't see anything that would cause me to greatly change my teaching style, as I already do most of the things he recommends, but there were a couple of nice techniques I could use. The best I thought was the use of a descriptive phrase to get naughty kids to stop doing something and to start paying attention to the learning.
I'd better be getting into school, as I've already got two phone calls from ill colleagues, and I'll have to arrange the relief cover.
Be nice.
